Track Trends with the Score History Chart
Every scan you run is stored in your dashboard. The Score History chart visualizes your overall and per-category scores over time so you can prove that your optimizations are paying off.
Open the Score History chart
From your Dashboard, select a domain. The Score History chart appears once you've run at least two scans for that domain.
Compare two scans side by side
- 1
Pick two scans
Click 'Compare Scans' and choose any two scans from the list — Searchlight shows side-by-side category scores with delta arrows (▲ improved, ▼ regressed).
- 2
Drill into category changes
Each row links to the recommendations that changed between the two scans — useful for confirming a fix actually moved the needle.
Tip: Run a baseline scan before you start optimizing, then re-scan after each meaningful change. Two data points are all you need for a clean before/after.
Best practices
Re-scan no more than once per day per domain — score volatility comes from real source changes, not from re-running. For Pro and Enterprise users, consider a weekly cadence to catch regressions caused by CMS updates or third-party scripts.
